Paal Basundi
Necessary ingredients:
Milk : ½ litre
Sugar : ½ Aazhakku (quantity)
Saffron : just a pinch
Cardomom : 2 number
Cashewnuts, Melon seeds (chironji in hindi), Cucumber seed (Not necessary, if you wish and if you have it then you can add them to this mixture)
Preparing method:
Put the kadai on the stove. Pour the ½ litre of milk in the kadai simmer the stove and let the milk boil. As the milk keeps on boiling, a thick layer of milk in form of creamy texture will form. Push the cream to the sides of the kadai and keep the milk boiling.
When the milk boils nicely and thickens, push the creamy layers into the middle of the kadai onto the boiling milk.
Now, add the amount of sugar to the kadai (PS: the above mentioned quantity of sugar can be increased or decreased to your taste).
If still want to make the Basundi into a delighted one, then add the grated cashews, Melon seeds and the cucumber seeds into the kadai and chill it into the freezer.
(Or) without adding the seeds also you can have it.
