Do not be fooled by the prevailing dasas

Let’s assume that you go to an astrologer, and he tells you, “Dear sir, you are now going through the Dhanadhipathi dasa/Bhagyadhipathi dasa.” It would be a mistake on our part to be delighted on hearing the news. It is like this. If somebody says he is working in a bank, we should find out whether he is employed there as manager, as cashier, clerk or as an office boy. Only then we will know how powerful he or she is. Similarly, you will plunge yourself into the depths of doom, if you start a business or make an investment, fooled into thinking that you are in the dasa of the Second House Lord, Ninth House Lord or the lagnadhipathi.
Let’s, for instance, suppose that you are going through the dasa of the lagnadhipathi. Yes, the lagnadhipathi will shower riches on you. However, you will encounter only a mirage, that is, disappointment, if the Lord of lagna is in the saaram (strength) of the Lord of the Eighth-Twelfth House or the saaram (strength) of the Lord of the Seventh House.
In general, Bhudha dasa is in Rishaba lagnam, pertaining to the Second-Fifth Houses. However, there will be no end to one’s problems, no matter where Bhudha is placed, if he is in the saaram (strength) of Sevvai (Mars), the Lord of the Seventh-Twelfth House.
The Seventh House is the Kalathira-sthanam, that is, the domain of marriage/spouse/family. Also, it is the Ganda-sthanam, the danger zone. The less said about the Twelfth House the better. It is the Sayana-sthanam, that is, the domain of yathra (pilgrimage), nidhra (sleep), and endless problems. It is a veritable hell, that is, you will lead a dog’s life, if the Twelfth House is in Sevvai’s (Mars) saaram (strength) when you enter Bhudha dasa. The only redeeming factor here, if you can call it that, is that the person in this saaram will have no problem getting married. The reason: the Lord of the Seventh House is in Sevvai (Mars) saaram (strength). He takes care of the marriage factor, which is a done thing now. The problem starts after that. The amusing, if not the pitiable, thing here is that it is like lending somebody an amount of money and then falling at their feet to get it back. Not only is the person doomed to suffer, but the woman who has entered into wedlock with him, hoping for a better life, is also destined to roam in the forests with him.
The moral of the story: do not be fooled into expecting better days by the change of the dasa. No matter which dasa you are passing through, if the Lord of the domain is in the saaram (strength) of the Third, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Twelfth (3,6,7,8,12) House, you will gain some, but lose more.
In conclusion we can say, no matter what the dasa is, if the Lord of saaram (strength) is also Yogadhipathi, that is, the Lord of Fortune, your touch will turn sand into gold.
