Kollu Sundal Recipe

Ingredients:
Kollu / Horse gram – 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Salt – to taste
For tempering:
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
Red Chillies – 2 small
Asafoetida – sufficiently
Method:
–Soak kollu(horsegram) overnight with enough water. Pressure cook with 1.5 cups of water for 5 to 6 whistles.
–Heat oil in a pan add the items under ‘For tempering’. Then add required salt, turmeric powder and asafoetida.Add the cooked kollu and saute for a minute.
–Then add coconut, saute till it slightly turns brown then switch it off.
–Your sundal is ready to be served hot!!
