Why North Indian are having money means they have the blessing of Sri Mahalakshmi. She likes and her living place is also Mumbai. As epic says.
Why Sri Mahalakshmi likes Mumbai?
One Sri Mahalakshmi was wearing torn saree and uncombed hair and going to every city. Once she stepped in a city , she begged in a house. “ma, I feel hungry. Give me some food.” The house owner lady thought that she was worst than beggar and stink smell was coming from her.
‘You beg on Friday, Get out worst lady.’ In all cities, she was driven by the people. When she stepped in the border of Mumbai, there was a house. As usually Sri Mahalakshmi begged and called ‘ma, I feel hungry. Give some food. Please.’
The house owner lady came and said ‘You seems to be pity and you would have eaten long days before. Come inside and eat.’
Sri Mahalakshmi said, “no Ma, I should not come inside today.”
‘This is quite natural. Don’t worry. As you come inside and eating would not happened anything to my house.” The lady pacified Sri Mahalakshmi. She provided food and some sarees.
Sri Mahalakshmi got happy. ‘I have visited so many cities. Seeing my figure and drove me away. Else, nobody pity on me that I am a Lady. No one show mercy on me. But you have showed mercy as you are in this city. Do you know who I am?’ Sri Mahalakshmi showed her real figure. and ‘iam going to stay here permanently for you having good virtues.’ So Sri Mahalakshmi stayed Mumbai as Epic Says.
Sri Mahalakshmi Temple is along with the sea shore of Mumbai. In 1785, British people had an idea to construct a wall in this place connecting with Warli area before built this temple.
This contract had been handed over to Ramji Shivaji. During the construction, stones were drawn inside the sea by tides is advertently. Every time it happened. He got heavy loss and Ramji mentally affected.

Although they were searching, but they could not get any statue. as it was started from the sunrise, sun was setting in the west side. Though they had been trying with hope. Now, the three statues hid themselves so far stopped their magic and appeared. Seeing the statues, Ramji and servants got happy.
Taking the three statues, and built a temple along the sea shore of mumbai, installed them and worshiped. While the wall was constructing, the waves could not approach the rocks. Ramji shivaji laid a road along the wall.
Now in front of the temple they are some shops. they selling sweet, lotus, red and green mingled color cloth it is called as SUNARI in a plate. If we give it them as dowry to goddesses. Mumbai people believe that prosperity will get. If we worship them nine times and give these things, poverty people will become rich people as epic of Mumbai says.
Rich men even got the wealth by their hard working also come and worship the goddesses and get blessings. Although Sri Mahakaali, Sri Maha Saraswathy and Sri Mahalakshmi are in the temple, It calls as SRI MAHALAKSHMI TEMPLE.
We shold also worship Sri Mahalakshmi and get all the benefits. Before that Sri Mahalakshmi should invite us. Definitely she will invite us. ♦
